There’s something beautiful
about taking raw materials and transforming them into something unexpected, all while being able to tell little stories along the way.

Meet Taylor, the artist.

Tierra Made was founded in 2020 in what started as a distant dream. After taking an introductory jewelry making class my last semester of college, I was hooked. Although I was walking into the professional world of Interior Design back in 2013, I had this inner tug in my heart, and always knew I would come back to jewelry making.
Over the years I would create one-off pieces for family, and in 2016 I was gifted a class series at a local arts center where I pulled out my dusty tools and fell in the love with the craft all over again. As the ideas for a business started to simmer, I was unsure of how and where to start while maintaining a full-time job which I still truly loved. So I shelved the craft yet again.
Fast forward to early 2020 where I was lucky enough to join ten other women on a once in a lifetime trip to Ecuador to meet local artists and get my hands dirty creating alongside them. I’m not sure if it was the mystical mountains of Ecuador or the love and laughter shared amongst new friends, but you could say this is where my artistic spiritual awakening finally came, and the fire was burning within me to turn this dream into a reality.
Now that this dream is living in the light, I truly believe that this business and the pieces I craft is a culmination of years of exposure to various art and design practices. The development of my design sensibility and graphic eye, paired alongside my inquisitive love for the natural world, influences everything I create.
So here I welcome you to the Tierra Made family. I hope you enjoy walking this journey, listening to our stories and sharing the love for crafted goods with me, for we are all, of the earth.
