We believe in being transparent about our efforts to minimize our ecological footprint. After all, we are made of the earth.
Our Packaging & Marketing Materials
No Issue Co.
The mailer your new jewelry arrives in is 100% compostable for both the home and commercial compost, and is made with a combination of corn-based biopolymers. If you’d like to learn more about our plant-based mailers, please click here.
In addition, our note cards are made from 100% recycled content, are uncoated, and printed with soy-based inks all while being 100% compostable and recyclable.
EcoEnclose
In order to keep your jewelry safe during the shipping process, we use Recycled Ornament Paper Shred which contains no virgin fiber content and is made entirely from post-consumer & post-industrial content. It is of course recyclable and naturally biodegradable!
We are also pleased to announce that our shipping labels are Processed Chlorine Free (PCF) and feature a release liner and adhesive that is made with 100% recycled content and curbside recyclable. That means we won’t have to deal with those pesky silicone-coated liners in our labeling and shipping process!
Moo + Mohawk
We are trying to think of everything right down to our business cards which are acid and tree-free! These recyclable cotton cards are made from 100% recycled T-shirt offcuts - you know, the stuff that normally gets thrown away from garment factories?
It may just be us who finds it a fascinating read, but if you would like to learn more about this process, click here for more information.
Our Product Materials
Metal
Our metals are sourced from the US and while it’s not always possible, when we can, we utilize recycled metals for our designs.
All of our metal scraps and shavings we collect, sort and recycle at our local metal recycling plant.
Leather
The leather we use is upcycled remnants from US based tanneries including: Horween Leather, Wicket & Craig Leather and Hermann Oak Leather.
Due to the natural quality of the leather and dying process, there may be small, minor scratches or imperfections which we celebrate.
Fiber Cording
The fiber cording or fringe on your pieces is made of 100% recycled cotton from the garment industry.
